Turboatom supplies Rostov nuclear power plant

On 20 July 2010, Turboatom announced that the company has arrived at an agreement with the Nyzhni Novgorod Engineering Co. Atomenergoproekt to supply a turbine for reactor three of the Rostov nuclear power plant which will be physically put into operation in 2013. The agreement is fixed in a cooperation protocol signed following a Ukrainian-Russian meeting on supplies of equipment for nuclear power plants of Russia and other countries. Turboatom will supply the remaining equipment and will upgrade the wheel space to boost the capacity of the power unit from the designed 1 million kilowatts to 1.16 million kilowatts. The sides also agreed that Turboatom would draw up its commercial proposals on supplies of a turbine of 1.16 million kilowatts for the fourth unit of the nuclear power plant. Turboatom expects the negotiations to result in contracts on supplies of equipment to unit No.3 worth up to USD 100 million.
